Very much a youth hostel vibe, but well done. It's in a beautiful area, and they've integrated the hostel into the landscape quite nicely.

We had a fantastic experience at the Secret Garden Cotopaxi, easily the best hosteling experience we’ve ever had. The staff are all friendly and helpful, from the volunteers and the front desk staff to the chefs, maintenance workers, and those cleaning the rooms. The location is unbeatable, with incredible views of Cotopaxi and the surrounding volcanoes. We would say staying at SG Cotopaxi is an essential part of any trip to Ecuador!

Beyond expectations. From the moment you arrive you are greeted with a warm welcome, and if you're lucky and there are no clouds, an incredible view. The hostel is set in a beautiful location with wonderful gardens enhancing the already spectacular vistas.A friendly, family vibe is the best way to describe the atmosphere, with a shared lunch followed by a waterfall hike quickly breaking the ice for new arrivals. The waterfall walk is do much fun.The food is freshly and lovingly made by the staff, with good portions. Hot drinks, water, banana and banana bread are available for free all day if the meals and snacks included aren't enough to keep you full. The volunteers are great and constantly making sure everyone is ok and well fed. The place is spotless and runs like clockwork. The rooms are comfortable, with plenty of blankets to keep you warm and more than enough bathrooms. The outside ones are a particular delight offering views as you shower, or use the toilet. There are hammocks, a yoga space and jacuzzi if you want to relax in your downtime between activities, and of course you can always visit the llamas. In only 3 days the place felt like home.

This was one of my favorite spots we’ve ever stayed in for vacation. The location is beautiful and very convenient to the main hikes. Every morning we had picturesque views of the mountains including Cotopaxi. The guides here are amazing, including the dogs that come on hikes. The food was great, especially because they accommodate for vegetarians and vegans. An unforgettable aspect was the hobbit room we stayed in and all of the facilities they offer like a jacuzzi, a yoga room, tons of hammocks, a common area to meet other travelers, and of course the llama field where you can feed them banana peels.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at in my entire life! We had incredible views of the Cotopaxi Volcano and the main lodge is incredibly cozy. We enjoyed lots of tea, hot chocolate, banana bread, roasting marshmallows by the fire, and the home cooked meals were delicious! The Hobbit Home was super cozy and warm at night as well - possibly the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. The staff were all extremely kind and helpful. It was a wonderful and peaceful escape. Could not recommend The Secret Garden more - it was truly a dream to stay there.
